The month of April was a very successful month for Alyd Air.
For the first time in its history Alyd Air used a jet for a charter flight. A group of german golfers was flown with a Citation II to George and picked up a week later.
A Beechcraft 1900D has also been used for the first time.
The Aztec and Partenavia are being used for advanced training with several flight schools and the Aztec has had an avionics upgrade which includes a Garmin 430.
The following months are also very promising for Alyd Air.
By end of May Alyd Air will be operating out of its own offices in the General Aviation Area, Cape Town International. More informations following soon.
From June on Alyd Air will have it's own represantation in Europe, with it's an office in Salzburg, Austria.

Alyd Air Secures Extra Aircraft Agency !!

At the end of 2007 Alyd Air members flew to Germany to visit the factory of Extra Aircraft. This is our second visit to the factory and this trip resulted in the signing of an agreement with the company for the sole agency to market the 6 seater Extra 500 turboprop aircraft in Southern Africa.

Alyd Air will be offering the Extra 500 in a fractional owner package which will be administered and run by Alyd Air. The concept includes access by owners to all the fractional aircraft contracted to Alyd Air. For further information please contact us for a meeting.

Alyd Air Charter Services help dreams come true

Alyd Air Charter Services participated in the Reach for a Dream event hosted by the Stellenbosch Flying Club on Saturday 27 October 2007.

The Reach for a Dream Foundation encourages children to use their dreams to fight life-threatening illnesses such as cancer and leukaemia, cystic fibrosis and muscular dystrophy, kidney failure and HIV infections.

Numerous children where treated to flights in our Piper Aztec over the Cape Winelands, on what turned out to be a beautiful Saturday in more ways than one.
